Red Rocks Amphitheater is located in Denver and has been the scene of some of the greatest live music moments in our lifetime. Bruce Springsteen’s first big outdoor concert was held in June of 1978, U2’s memorable ‘War’ tour concert brought down the house in 1983. Yes, the Beatles did perform at this historic venue on August 26th, 1964.
John Denver played to a full house at the outdoor theater 17 times. Jimi Hendrix played the venue on September 1st, 1968, with fans waiting nearly a day in line to get a ticket. Vanilla Fudge opened for Jimi.
This year, Brit Floyd the world’s greatest Pink Floyd experience plays the amphitheater June 7th, Bryan Adams is on stage June 12th, The Barenaked Ladies June 19th, Blues Traveler July 4th, and Joe Bonamassa August 5th.
