What an NBA All Star weekend it was down in New Orleans. There was plenty of action on the court as well as of off it. Allow us to explain what went on just a few days ago…
The festivities started Saturday with the different skills challenges. Eric Gordon beat Kyrie Irving in the three-point contest, which actually went into a shoot off it was that close! The slam-dunk contest was won by Glenn Robinson III after he took out the Suns’ Derrick Jones Jr. This one wasn’t as exciting as last year, but was still fun to watch.
The NBA All Star game occurred Sunday and was won by the Western Conference 192 to 182. Anthony Davis was the MVP after scoring 52 points and recording 10 rebounds. Other big performers were Russell Westbrook (41/5/7), Giannis Antetokounmpo (30/6/1) and Kevin Durant (21/10/10).
To cap it off the Sacramento Kings traded DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to the New Orleans Pelians for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway and two draft picks.
