Rebecca Minkoff Beauty Line Lifts Off

Since finding her namesake label in 2005, Rebecca Minkoff has established herself as a New York fashion mainstay with her ever widening empire of clothing, accessories, handbags, eyewear, luggage, swimwear and even tech. And now the iconic designer is launching her own beauty line.

According to WWD, Minkoff has signed an exclusive licensing deal with The Premiere Group, the prestige beauty company that already works with the likes of Kate Spade New York, Mercedes-Benz Parfums, Atkinsons and Fila.

To kickstart her beauty entrepreneurship, Minkoff will first launch a fragrance under a multiyear partnership that will eventually extend to other realms of beauty such as makeup and wellness.  Although the details on the partnership remain limited at the moment, The Premiere Group has been behind a number of successful fragrance launches including a recent partnership with Monique Lhuillier, due to debut in 2020.

This isn’t the Minkoff’s first tryst with beauty. In 2017 the designer collaborated with makeup artist Rosie Jane Johnston for a very successful line of eco-friendly cosmetic products. Now with her very own beauty brand, it’ll be interesting to see the unique approach Minkoff brings to a burgeoning industry.
