Reba McEntire recently announced via her social media platforms, (Instagram) on Saturday, January 28th, that her new spot called Reba’s Place in Atoka, Oklahoma is celebrating its grand opening that took place on January 26th.
The video posted shows Reba saying, “Reba’s Place, Atoka, Oklahoma. Come and see us,” before showing highlights of the restaurant such as delicious looking food, cocktails, and even a stage for local musical acts to perform on.
While doing an interview promoting her new venture Reba stated, “I get another excuse to get to come home to our state, It’s going to help our town, it’s going to help the community, it’s going to bring jobs in.”
Janie Dillard, the senior executive officer of the Choctaw Nation’s division of commerce, commented on Reba’s drive. Dillard stated, “She says, ‘The team did this, the team did that.’ No, she’s a woman very involved. She’s a savvy businesswoman, She’s picked out every dish you’ve got on your table tonight. She’s picked out every color. Draperies, color schemes, color palettes. Everything. She’s been so engaged.”
Reba initially announced her goal of opening Reba’s Place in November of 2021. The restaurant was built in a century old Masonic temple and also has two stories. Pictures show chandeliers hung form the building’s very high ceilings, as well as a view of some of Reba’s iconic outfits, that are hung in glass cases inside the establishment.
