Reba McEntire & Rex Linn Confirm Engagement at 2025 Emmys After Five-Year Romance

Country music legend Reba McEntire and actor Rex Linn are officially engaged, a love story five years in the making that she confirmed on the red carpet at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

Reba, 70, and Rex, 68, first crossed paths back in 1991 on The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw, but they didn’t begin dating until 2020, reuniting during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their connection deepened through long conversations, frequent visits, and shared values—especially their love for the cowboy lifestyle and working in entertainment.

During an interview with E! News at the Emmys, a reporter introduced Rex as Reba’s fiancé. Although there wasn’t an official proposal moment revealed in that exact moment, both smiled, nodded, and seemed delighted by the acknowledgment. Reba later confirmed via her representatives that the engagement had occurred “a few months ago.”

The couple also co-star on the sitcom Happy’s Place, adding another layer to their partnership. Reba has said in past interviews that she’s open to marriage again under the right circumstances—and it seems those have been met. For fans, this moment is the warmth and romance they’ve quietly celebrated over years finally shining in the spotlight.
