On April 2 the Juno Awards will be underway and some of our favorite R&B stars will be in attendance in Toronto, Canada. In fact, the two biggest stars of the night are likely to come from the R&B genre. The Weeknd and Drake are both tied for the most nominations at this year’s award show (with Shawn Mendes as well).
All three are up for the biggest awards of the night including Album of the Year, Single, Artist of the Year and JUNO Fan Choice Award. From there they each have their own awards they can take home.
Drake is up for Rap Recording with his hit album “Views.” That one is going up against albums from Tory Lanez, Jazz Cartier, Tasha the Amazon and Belly.
The Weeknd’s “Starboy” is up for R&B/Soul Recording going up against hits from Daniel Caesar, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Tanika Charles and Dvsn.
