Ray Liotta of Goodfellas Receives A Posthumous Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Actor Ray Liotta of Goodfellas, is being honored with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, nine months after he passed away. The ceremony will be hosted by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and will be held on February 24th, the same day as his newest film “Cocaine Bear” for director Elizabeth Banks and Universal Pictures opens in theatres.

Liotta passed away in his sleep on May 26th, 2022, while he was filming a movie in the Dominican Republic, at the age of 67 years old.

Liotta’s breakout role happened in a 1990 Martin Scorsese film “Goodfellas,” that featured Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Lorraine Bracco. The film was based in part on the life of former mobster turned government informant Henry Hill, who Liotta played. While most recently, Liotta appeared in films including “Marriage Story” and the “Sopranos” spinoff “The Many Saints of Newark.” Liotta also starred in TV shows including “Shades of Blue,” “Hanna” and “Black Bird.”

Liotta’s star will be the 2,749th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Motion Pictures.
