The Baltimore Ravens have parted ways with veteran kicker Justin Tucker after 13 seasons, ending one of the most consistent runs in NFL history. Tucker, 34, holds the league record for career field goal accuracy at 89.1% and played a pivotal role in the team’s Super Bowl XLVII win.
“This is one of the most difficult football decisions we’ve had to make,” said Ravens GM Eric DeCosta. “Justin has been a cornerstone of our success for over a decade.”
The move comes shortly after Baltimore selected kicker Tyler Loop from the University of Arizona in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, suggesting a planned shift at the position.
Complicating matters are allegations reported by the Baltimore Banner involving multiple claims of sexual misconduct by Tucker, allegedly occurring between 2012 and 2016. Tucker has publicly denied the accusations, calling them “shocking and heartbreaking.” The NFL has confirmed it is reviewing the case under its Personal Conduct Policy.
Head coach John Harbaugh maintained that the decision was based solely on football. “We haven’t been given any information regarding the investigation,” he said.
Tucker’s departure closes a historic chapter in Ravens history and opens a new one clouded by uncertainty.
