Monday we talked about the teams getting into the NFL playoffs, but we didn’t break down the matchups. Vegas odds say that a few of the games will be blowouts, but we think otherwise.
The Oakland Raiders are 3-point underdogs on the road against the Houston Texans, which may come as a surprise to some of you since Oakland has logged more games in the win column than Houston. That being said, Oakland’s quarterback and MVP hopeful is out for the playoffs with a broken leg giving Houston the advantage at home.
The Seattle Seahawks are touchdown favorites at home versus the Detroit Lions. The Lions are coming off a 3-game losing streak and quarterback Matt Stafford is playing with a dislocated finger on his throwing hand. The Seahawks have proven to be strong contenders year after year in the playoffs. Can Detroit pull off their first playoff win since 1992?
The Miami Dolphins hit the road as 10-point underdogs to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Big Ben has led the Steelers to an NFL Championship in years past, and with players like Antonio Brown and Le’veon Bell on the field with him this year Pittsburgh looks strong going into the playoffs.
The Green Bay Packers are 4-point favorites when the New York Giants visit Lambeau Field. Aaron Rodgers has been a hot topic in the NFL MVP conversation and week after week he has played like the MVP leading the Packers on a 6-game winning streak. We think this game will be the one to watch this weekend.
