Post Malone to Release Nirvana Tribute Album on Vinyl for Record Store Day 2025

Post Malone is honoring one of his biggest musical influences with a special Nirvana tribute album, set to release on vinyl for Record Store Day 2025. The album captures his widely praised 2020 livestream performance, in which he performed 14 Nirvana songs alongside Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, bassist Brian Lee, and guitarist Nick Mac.

The setlist includes iconic tracks such as Come as You Are, Lounge Act, On a Plain, and Heart-Shaped Box, showcasing Malone’s deep appreciation for Nirvana’s music. Originally streamed during the COVID-19 pandemic to raise money for the WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, the performance received widespread acclaim, even earning praise from Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic.

Now, in his role as the official 2025 Record Store Day ambassador, Malone is bringing this powerful performance to vinyl for the first time. The release will benefit MusiCares’ Addiction Recovery/Mental Health division, continuing his dedication to supporting mental health initiatives.

With his signature raspy vocals and raw energy, Post Malone’s tribute to Nirvana highlights his versatility as an artist and his deep connection to rock music. Fans and collectors alike can look forward to this exclusive vinyl release when Record Store Day arrives in April.
