Phoebe Bridgers is officially back in solo mode.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter has announced that her long-awaited third studio album, Lost Weekend, will arrive on August 14 through Dead Oceans. The project marks her first solo release since 2020’s Punisher, ending a six-year wait that has only heightened anticipation among fans.
Although Bridgers has kept many details about the album under wraps, excitement has been steadily building over the past several weeks. She quietly returned to the stage with a string of intimate pop-up performances before surprising fans with a phone-free headline show at Madison Square Garden. Those appearances served as the launchpad for her upcoming Lost Tour, which begins one month after the album’s release.
The album announcement also comes with news that a video believed to be for the title track will premiere on June 25, giving listeners their first official taste of the new era.
For the upcoming tour, Alex G will support the North American dates, while former Black Country, New Road vocalist Isaac Wood will join the European leg.
Lost Weekend also represents the next chapter in Bridgers’ career following the Grammy-winning success of boygenius, the indie rock trio she formed with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. After years of collaborations and side projects, the new album signals a full return to her solo artistry.
With a major tour already on the calendar and fresh music arriving this summer, Lost Weekend is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated alternative releases of the year.
