Breaking Down Peter Frampton – Part One

You can’t listen to the song “Do You Feel The Way I Do” by Peter Frampton and not walk away thinking, not only is he a virtuoso, but understand how Peter changed the music business forever.

Peter Kenneth Frampton was born in South London in 1950, and has been performing for over 40 years. After an assortment of high school bands, Peter’s big break came when he was hired to be the guitarist of Humble Pie at the sweet age of 18. That sounds like the movie, “Almost Famous” having a teenager tour with a rock band across America right?

“Frampton Comes Alive” has sold over 12 million copies and became the bestselling live rock album in history until 1998; Peter nearly fell over when told that his album had overcome Carole King’s “Tapestry” in the mid-70s.

Peter Frampton is touring across America with his son Julian, and most of what you’ll hear in this current concert is acoustic. Peter has been married three times and is the father to three children, currently living in Nashville. Peter is also a strict vegetarian.
