Kiss frontman Paul Stanley has taken it upon himself to name the eleven greatest lead singers of all time–according to him.
Earlier this week, Stanley tweeted the list, “The Best Lead Singers Of All Time?? How about 11 off the top of my head…” and then proceeded to name twelve, with two names tied at #10:
- Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
- Steve Marriott (Small Faces, Humble Pie)
- Freddie Mercury (Queen)
- David Ruffin (The Temptations)
- Rod Stewart
- Paul Rodgers (Bad Company, Free)
- Janis Joplin
- Steve Perry (Journey)
- Brad Delp (Boston)
- Brian Johnson (AC/DC) & Lou Gramm (Foreigner)
- Ann Wilson (Heart)
The list consists of mostly ’60s and ’70s rock icons, in addition to soul singer David Ruffin of The Temptations.
