Instagram-favorite model Paloma Elsesser has partnered with cult-classic Miaou to create a range of functional and size-extensive pieces for all those who love the Los Angeles-based brand’s sultry aesthetic.
According to Hypebae, Elsesser is lifelong friends with Miaou’s founder Alexia Elkaim, and decided to merge her usually demure and reserved style with Elkaim’s quintessentially playful Parisian vibe, presenting a 54-piece collection with “something for everyone.” The product of their creative synergy, the Paloma Capsule includes vibrant and original custom prints created by the pair alongside an intimate hub of commissioned artists.
Influenced by Abstraction, Baroque, Mudd, Sweet Legend, and Marseilles Stripes, the season’s latest line features mesh pieces reminiscent of psychedelic carpeting, while Versailles-inspired prints add a touch of regality to the brand’s signature fitted silhouettes.
Figure-flattering maxi skirts boast a patchwork of colorful prints, while the latest collection capitalizes on the ever-popular micro mini skirt, fashioning the leg-baring garment in a neutral tartan print. Elsewhere, lovers of the brand can transport themselves to a season of French summer picnics with the blue and white gingham dresses and bustiers.
Sizes will extend to 4XL for a “special capsule collection and parts of its core offering.” The brand projects gross revenue to increase 300% from 2021 to 2022, and is banking on its plus-size launch to reach new customers in stores with the help of its wholesale retail partners.
