Ozzy Osbourne Trains for Final Curtain Call: Black Sabbath Farewell and Solo Set Confirmed

The Prince of Darkness is rising again. At 76, Ozzy Osbourne is preparing to take the stage one last time—twice in a single day. The iconic metal frontman revealed he’s undergoing intensive physical training in preparation for Black Sabbath’s farewell performance, followed by his own solo set on July 5th at Birmingham’s Villa Park.

Dubbed Back to the Beginning, the monumental event boasts a lineup worthy of rock history, with Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, and others joining Sabbath for a celebration of heavy music’s roots and legacy.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks, Osbourne shared that it’s been nearly seven years since he performed a full show. Following a series of debilitating surgeries, he’s easing back in with short walks and weight training, focusing on building stamina. “Three minutes may sound small,” he said, “but it’s a mountain when you’ve been on your back for years.”

Ozzy’s return marks not just the end of an era, but a testament to resilience. His health journey will also be chronicled in a documentary premiering this fall on Paramount+.

Even in the twilight of his career, Ozzy reminds fans why he’s metal royalty—unstoppable, unfiltered, and unforgettable.
