There are many athletes celebrating a birthday this week and one that should have celebrated a birthday by the end of it, but unfortunately was taken away too early from this world. These stars entertain and wow us and it’s time for them to have some fun on their special day.
Oscar Taveras was a promising young outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals before he died in a tragic car accident in the Dominican Republic. He was taken too early from this world, dying at the age of 22 and would have been celebrating his 24th birthday on June 19.
Tim Lincecum had been a dominant pitcher in his career before falling freakishly into being a bad pitcher. He has made his way back into professional baseball though and could be with the Angels by the end of the week. The two-time Cy Young winner turns 32 this week.
Amari Cooper was the fourth overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft and he sure was a great receiver for the Oakland Raiders during his rookie season. He won two SEC Championships while he was at Alabama and turns just 22 years old this week.
Phil Mickelson, Sammy Watkins, Antonio Gates, Martin St. Louis, Dirk Nowitzki, and Jacob deGrom all turn a year older in the next week.
