Our Favorite Artists Who Put Pen to Paper

John Oates (Hall and Oates fame) has joined the ranks of other rock stars who decided their life’s story would be interesting to read about so he’s written his memoir calling it ‘Change of Seasons.’ John is not the first to write it all down; in fact there are a few ‘best sellers.’ Here are our favs…

“Chronicles” from Bob Dylan
“Life” from Keith Richards
“Slash” by (of course) Slash
“Does This Noise in My Head Bother You” Steven Tyler
“My Cross to Bear” written by Gregg Allman
“Me, The Mob, and the Music” penned by Tommy James
“Reckless: My Life as a Pretender” from Chrissie Hynde
“The Autobiography” written by the recently departed Chuck Berry
“Born to Run” from Bruce Springsteen written and released in 2016

Conclusions: The common thread in most of these autobiographies is a sense of self-inflicted place o suffering and addition. Perhaps these artists wrote their memoir for cathartic purposes, but they’re all very good reads.
