As the late Andy Williams would sing “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” especially with all your country Christmas favorites. Here’s a few of ours…
“Christmas in Dixie” by Alabama is a classic for all the right reasons. Alabama is somewhat responsible for widening country stars fan bases beyond typical genres’, and they remain relevant with this Christmas classic.
“Santa Baby” by Taylor Swift rivals the Madonna version, which rivaled the 1953 Ertha Kitt original.
You just can’t beat Alan Jackson’s “Let It Be Christmas” for a family favorite. What a voice, what a moment in time.
Although every non-country music fan thinks the Bobby Helms and Brenda Lee Christmas classics are theirs, we know that “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree” are country standards, used in nearly a dozen famous Hollywood films.
“Pretty Paper” from Willie, Gene Autry’s “Rudolph,” Dolly’s “Hard Candy Christmas,” “Blue Christmas” from Elvis, Roger Miller’s “Old Toy Trains,” and “O Holy Night” from Martina round out our short list.
