Oregon State Your College World Series Champions

Oregon State was down 1-0 in the College World Series and were one pitch away from being eliminated in game two before a foul ball was dropped. The tides turned in their favor and they have won this year’s college baseball championship! They beat Arkansas 5-3 in game two and won last night 5-0 to take the crown.

The Beavers were led by their catcher, Adley Rutschman, who generated three hits and two RBI. Their pitching was outstanding as well as Kevin Abel pitched a complete game shutout, giving up just two hits while striking out 10. What a night it was for the Beavers, who took the lead 2-0 in the first and never looking back.

Arkansas played admirably, but will definitely regret the lack of clutch hitting with runners on base and early pitching struggled in game three.

Congratulations to the Oregon State Beavers, your 2018 College World Series champions!
