Y.A. Tittle was a dominant quarterback in the 40s, 50s, and 60s, playing for a total of 17 seasons. His best season was in 1963 when he won the MVP as a part of the New York Giants. Amazingly, he was a seven-time Pro Bowl player and is tied for the record for the most passing touchdowns in a game (seven). Unfortunately, we talked about Tittle today because it has come out that he has passed away at the age of 90.
Tittle was a star at LSU before being starting his professional career with the Baltimore Colts. He would go on to play for them as well as the 49ers and Giants where he would have his number 14 jersey retired by his final team.
When Tittle retired he held eight records including career passing yards, career passing touchdowns, career pass completions, and most passing touchdowns in a season among others.
The great Y.A. Tittle has passed away at the age of 90.
