Olivia Munn Speaks Out Against On-Set Misconduct, Refuses NDA Settlement

In a recent episode of Monica Lewinsky’s podcast Reclaiming, actress Olivia Munn opened up about a distressing experience on a movie set that led her to file formal complaints with the studio. Munn, 44, recounted that the studio responded by offering her a seven-figure settlement contingent upon her signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Despite the substantial financial offer, Munn declined the settlement, expressing that accepting it would undermine her ability to speak out against the misconduct she endured. She emphasized the importance of using her voice over monetary compensation, stating, “I know this is a lot of money to you, but it is not a lot of money to me to raise my voice.”

This incident occurred during the resurgence of the #MeToo movement, a time when NDAs were under intense scrutiny for their role in silencing victims. Munn’s decision reflects a broader cultural shift towards transparency and accountability in the entertainment industry.

Previously, Munn has been vocal about on-set misconduct. In 2018, she criticized director Shane Black for casting a registered sex offender in The Predator, leading to the actor’s removal from the film. Munn’s continued advocacy highlights her commitment to fostering a safer environment in Hollywood.
