Nicki Minaj has a streak that nobody is proud to have, and on Monday night, that streak continued. By losing out on all three nominations that she could have possibly won, she extended her Grammy nominations loss streak to 10.
The streak started back in 2011 when she lost Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for her work with Ludacris on “My Chick Bad.” From there, she lost four nominations in 2012 (Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, and Album of the Year). In 2015, she lost out on two nominations: Best Rap Song and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
In 2016, her streak unfortunately extended to 10 with losses in these three categories: Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album.
