Nicki Minaj Hints at Drake Producing Her Next Album

During a recent Twitter Q&A, Nicki Minaj hinted that fellow rapper Drake may be executive producing her upcoming album.

“We actually discussed him EP’ing this new album,” she wrote in response to a fan asking if they could expect Drake as a feature. “That was b4 Seeing Green even came out.

Lil Wayne signed both Minaj and Drake to his Young Money label in 2009. Over the years, they’ve collaborated numerous times on songs such as “Moment 4 Life,” “Make Me Proud,” “Only” and “Up All Night.” The pair had most recently collaborated, along with Lil Wayne, on the “Seeing Green” track for Minaj’s reissued Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape in May of last year.

Minaj’s last album, Queen, was released back in 2018, and while no exact date has been announced regarding the release of her new album, fans are definitely excited for the return of “mixtape Nicki.”

“Oh, you gotta get Mixtape Nicki!” she explained in a previous interview. “I just feel like that’s what’s needed right now. Like, oh my God! What I do is write raps that connect with people, that make people want to sign a long and channel their inner bad b—h … I love giving that good energy to people and make them feel like, ‘Yo, I’m speaking for you.’”
