Pucks hit the ice Tuesday night as the National Hockey League began the 2021-2022 season. Opening night included games between the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the inaugural Seattle Kraken, as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Even though the Lightning lost last night, Tampa Bay looks to win a third consecutive Stanley Cup—a rare and challenging journey in the sports world.
In baseball news, the American League Championship Series is set as the Boston Red Sox will take on the Houston Astros starting October 15th in Houston. Yesterday, in the National League, the Atlanta Braves defeated the Milwaukee Brewers as they advance to the National League Championship Series. The Braves await the results of a Game 5 showdown between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants, as the winner will move on to the NLCS to face Atlanta.
