Starting Monday, NFL’s free agents are allowed to negotiate with an NFL team and solidify their future. By now, most teams have made big cuts to their team to give themselves even more salary cap to work with. Considering the fact that the cap went up this year, there should be plenty of teams looking for that big splash.
Teams like the Jaguars and Raiders are likely to dominate the free agency period, but teams like the Falcons and Lions will likely have $35-40 million to spend on potential difference makers. Now, some of these teams will end up resigning their star players, but they can’t resign them all.
Let’s take a look at some of the names that NFL teams will be talking about when teams can officially sign players on Wednesday…
Malik Jackson, Defensive Tackle
Bruce Irvin, Linebacker
Doug Martin, Running Back
Danny Trevathan, Linebacker
