NFL Approves Move of Raiders to Las Vegas

The rumor around the NFL in recent months was that the Oakland Raiders would be moving to Las Vegas and now that rumor is fact. The NFL has approved of a move of the Raiders to Las Vegas by a 31-1 vote. The only team to vote against this move was the Miami Dolphins.

The date of which the Raiders will play their last game in Oakland has yet to be determined, but many suspect 2020 to be their last season. This is when the $1.7 billion stadium is expected to be built.

Al Davis, the team’s owner, has come out and said he wants to stay in Oakland for as long as their lease and potentially up until the can officially move to Las Vegas. He has also said that season ticket holders for 2017 can ask for a refund on their tickets if they so please.

This kind of move has always interested us. Will fans of the Raiders now be fans of the Raiders then?
