Football is the game to follow right now, but look out postseason baseball is upon us. Before we get into postseason baseball this week, let’s take a look at the big storylines in college and pro football.
Michigan has done a great job of winning games even though they’ve received very little production from their quarterback and now it sounds like their starter to begin the season, Wilton Speight, will be out for multiple weeks. He injured his back in the first quarter against Purdue a week ago and now we see if John O’Korn can do any better moving forward.
Ty Montgomery was rumored to have broken some ribs in the Thursday Night Football game last week but now we’re hearing that he may suit up come Sunday. Everyone keeps saying all injuries are different but one thing we do know is an injured set of ribs is not good for a running back.
Dalvin Cook has been a star for the Minnesota Vikings, but it looks like his season is over after tearing his ACL against the Lions on Sunday. In what looked like a harmless non-contact play, Cook tore his ACL. What a tough blow for the team and Cook.
O.J. Simpson hasn’t played in the NFL or college football for tens of years but he’s back in the news this week. He was released from prison after being behind bars for nine years.
