News and Notes Around the NFL

The NFL season is as hot as can be with playoff implications in so many games and thus we feel it’s time to talk about a heavy dosage of news and notes around the NFL…

Aaron Rodgers returned for the game against the Panthers because the Packers had a chance at playoffs but with that no longer the case, Rodgers has gone on the IR. This means he’s no longer able to play this season and it no longer makes any sense to play him through injury.

Speaking of the Panthers, their linebacker Thomas Davis just recently appealed his two-game suspension. The result of that appeal is just a one-game suspension, which is huge for the Panthers who are not locked into the playoffs and are jockeying for playoff seeding.

One team not in contention for the playoffs is the Cleveland Browns. They’re still in the news though as their new GM, John Dorsey, has come out and said that he believes their head coach Hue Jackson will be back next season. That’s pretty amazing considering they’ve only one game in two seasons under him.

The Pro Bowl rosters have been announced and you can’t miss who made the cut. Take a look here and let us know who you think should and shouldn’t have made it!
