NBA’s Statistical Leaders So Far This Season

We haven’t touched a whole lot on the NBA season so we thought we’d take a look at who was doing the best so far this season. We’re not talking about teams but instead looking at players! The NBA is what we like to call a “player’s” league because so many of the fans of the sport are fans of teams because of specific players. Let’s take a look…

James Harden is leading the NBA in scoring, generating 31.7 points per game so far this season. This is somewhat surprising because of the addition of Chris Paul to the Rockets in the offseason. Some thought he wouldn’t be able to share the ball with the other star.

Russell Westbrook leads the way with 9.9 assists per game, just .2 more than Harden shockingly enough. Westbrook is also on a team of stars and has done a great job of adapting to his teammates and sharing the ball when need be.

Andre Drummond has always been a great rebounder but this year he may have moved to elite levels. He leads the way with 15 per game, 1.1 more than DeAndre Jordan, the second-ranked rebounder. He’s having a career year, averaging 14.1 points per game and converting 64% of his free throw attempts, nearly 26% better than last season.
