According to hiphopdx.com, NBA YoungBoy found himself a new home with Motown Records, after departing from Atlantic Records. The Never Broke Again collective has already released two albums through Motown and is set to release a third on Friday, October 28th with Nightmare on 38th Street. YoungBoy’s move to Motown becomes official in 2023 when he plans to release music on the label.
According to Variety, the terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed but the bidding war was competitive and YoungBoy hinted at signing for $60 million to Birdman’s Cash Money Records earlier this year but that deal fell away.
Just last week, NBA YoungBoy returned with his Ma’ I Got A Family mixtape with DJ Drama, which featured assists from Nicki Minaj and Yeat. The 23 year old doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon as he has promised a full 10 projects in the hands of fans before the year expires. YB’s catalog has gathered 29.04 billion on-demand streams in the U.S., per Luminate.
