Wednesday night offered exciting matchups in the NBA as the playoffs loom for 20 lucky teams.
The Philadelphia 76ers continue to push for a top playoff seed after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-114. Center Joel Embiid was a star for the 76ers last night with 35 points and 17 rebounds.
The Minnesota Timberwolves handily defeated the reeling Los Angeles Lakers, 124-104. The Lakers have lost five of their last six games as a playoff berth continues to slip from their hands.
The Utah Jazz faced off against a very strong Chicago Bulls team last night, with the Jazz stealing a 125-110 victory. Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz in scoring with 37 points, while Rudy Gobert secured 20 rebounds in the victory.
Finally, the Boston Celtics beat the injured Golden State Warriors, 110-88. Star point guard Steph Curry suffered a foot injury in the first quarter and did not come back to play for the Warriors for the result of the evening.
