Mushroomhead fans who’ve been waiting years for a blast from the past are about to get a heavy‑metal treat. A collective of six former members of the 1990s masked metal outfit are reuniting to form a new group called The Ex‑Faces, and they’ve just announced a pair of live shows slated for April 2026.
The lineup reads like a who’s who of the band’s classic eras, featuring vocalists Waylon Reavis and Jason “J Mann” Popson, guitarist Dave “Gravy” Felton, bassist Joe “Mr. Murdernickel” Kilcoyne, drummer Daniel “Lil’ Dan” Fox, and keyboardist/sampler Rick “St1tch” Thomas. Together, the group plans to revisit fan favorites that helped define Mushroomhead’s unique blend of heavy, theatrical metal.
The Ex‑Faces will kick off their mini‑run on April 17 at The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan, before heading to The King of Clubs in Columbus, Ohio on April 18. Both performances are expected to focus on live renditions of classic tracks from the Mushroomhead catalog, offering long‑time followers a nostalgic night of intense riffs and dramatic stage presence.
This reunion marks the latest in a series of appearances by former members together. Throughout 2025, several of the same musicians appeared at benefit shows and backed up performances tied to A Killer’s Confession — the project fronted by Reavis — bringing parts of Mushroomhead’s legacy to stages once again.
While the original band underwent numerous lineup changes over its decades of activity, The Ex‑Faces reunites several key contributors whose work helped shape the group’s cult following. With these upcoming shows, the former members are giving fans both old and new a chance to celebrate that legacy in a fresh setting.
