This weekend Hollywood brings out its big guns to entertain, including Tom Cruise, Chloƫ Sevigny, John Lithgow, Sofia Boutella, Nick Offerman, Sam Elliott, Russell Crowe and Salma Hayek.
‘Meagan Leavey’ is the touching story of a Marine corporal played by Kate Mara, whose special bond with her military combat dog ventures well past the theater of action, while Sam Elliott portrays a wildly successful actor who hasn’t had a hit movie in over 40 years, now coming to terms with the last chapter of his life. At the end of the road, he struggles to make sense out of the havoc he wreaked as a celebrity, making peace with his estranged children. He also falls in love with a woman half his age.
There’s a wonderful movie about human relationships and surprise connections; the chemistry between John Lithgow and Salma Hayek is magical. Our pick of the week is the latest rendition of the classic ‘The Mummy,’ starring Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe – it’s a film the whole family will enjoy.
Enjoy the movies this weekend, we always do!
