Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Timothée Chalamet, Tara Strong, Ving Rhames, and Will Arnett are on the silver screen this weekend, turning the temperature up on our summer. There’s a wonderful foreign film called ‘Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings’ that takes the ‘good vs. evil’ to the next level. Tom Cruise reprises the ‘Mission Impossible’ franchise with ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ a film that reveals what happens when a mission goes wrong, again. Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Tara Strong, Will Arnett deliver the goods on the most interesting animation film of the year in ‘Teen Titans Go! To the Movies’ and ‘Scarred Hearts’ is another foreign film that will pull at your heartstrings.
Out pick of the week is a documentary called ‘Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood’ that pulls back the curtains on the seedy side of Hollywood during the golden years. This film may make you realize that famous people are just people, driven by the same quest for love and desires. You will enjoy true Hollywood story behind Scotty Bowers the ‘pimp’ for the stars; this is a film meant for discerning adults only.
