Movies Opening This Weekend – December 22nd, [videos]

Ruby Rose, Tom Hanks, Sarah Paulson, Christian Bale, Owen Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Dwayne Johnson, Brittany Snow, Christopher Walken, and J.K. Simmons are here to bring laughter and romance into your holidays.

In the movie ‘Crooked House’ based on the Agatha Christie best-seller, a spy becomes a private-detective to save the day, while ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ signs up for one last singing competition at a USO tour overseas, only to discover their friendship will be tested beyond reason. The Rock stars in the reprise of the Jumanji franchise in ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ and Matt Damon stars in the scientific satire called ‘Downsizing’ where people are physically shrunk to accommodate the earth’s population explosion.

Out pick of the week is the Steven Spielberg film ‘The Post,’ which pulls back the curtain on true events that bring the papers first female newspaper publisher to the brink of civility and legality, as she and the paper uncover the real truth behind the Vietnam war and government cover-up. Based on the leaked Ellsberg papers, an analyst uncovers the real truth behind the war; now the paper must decide what to do with them.
