In a startling incident, country music singer Morgan Wallen found himself on the wrong side of the law after his perilous escapade at a Nashville rooftop bar. The 30-year-old “Whiskey Glasses” singer was arrested early Sunday for allegedly throwing a chair from the sixth floor of a bar owned by Eric Church, narrowly missing police officers by mere feet.
Charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, Wallen’s bond was set at $15,250. Following his arrest at 12:30 a.m. local time, he was released after three hours, facing a court appearance scheduled for May 3.
Despite a jovial mugshot, Wallen’s legal representation, Worrick Robinson, assured that Wallen is fully cooperating with the authorities. This is not the singer’s initial encounter with legal troubles; previous instances include a 2020 arrest for public intoxication and a widely condemned 2021 incident involving a racial slur, which led to significant professional repercussions.
Having risen to prominence on The Voice in 2014, Wallen has since enjoyed a successful music career, marked by an array of awards including an Academy of Country Music Award and multiple Billboard Music Awards. His recent activities included a sold-out London O2 Arena show and an upcoming headline performance at BST Hyde Park, which has remained comment-free on the incident.
