Morgan Wallen to Enter Plea in Criminal Case Over Broadway Bar Incident

Morgan Wallen, one of country music’s biggest stars, is set to appear in court Thursday afternoon to enter a plea regarding charges stemming from an April incident in downtown Nashville. Wallen is accused of tossing a chair off the sixth floor of a Broadway bar, which narrowly missed two police officers on the street below.

Legal Proceedings
The case, initially handled in general sessions court, was moved to criminal court on Tuesday. During the transition, Wallen’s charges were reduced. He now faces two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment without a weapon, a significant downgrade from the original charges, which included:

Disorderly conduct (misdemeanor).
Three counts of felony reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
The hearing is set for Thursday at 12:45 p.m. before Judge Cynthia Chappell.

The Incident
The alleged incident occurred in April, when Wallen reportedly threw a chair off the sixth-floor balcony of a bar on Broadway. Authorities claimed the act posed significant danger to those below, particularly two police officers who were nearly struck.

Legal Representation
Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, has yet to comment on the case or provide details about the planned plea.

Context and Next Steps
While Wallen’s legal troubles have made headlines, the reduction in charges suggests a less severe outcome may be possible. Fans and industry watchers will be keenly observing Thursday’s hearing for updates on the case and its potential impact on Wallen’s career.
