Morgan Wallen is digging deep—and doubling down on honesty—with his latest single, “I Ain’t Coming Back,” a raw, lyrical collaboration born from Post Malone’s foray into country. Originally penned during Malone’s sessions for his F-1 Trillion album, Wallen was quick to claim the track when it didn’t make Malone’s final cut.
In a recent Spotify interview clip shared by fan account @clubwallen, Wallen explained his attachment to the song. “I’ve always loved this one,” he said. “I told Post, ‘If you’re not putting it on your record, I am.’” With “I Had Some Help” already soaring on the charts, Post kept that, and Wallen got his gem.
Released April 18, “I Ain’t Coming Back” finds Wallen reflecting on heartbreak, rebellion, and redemption—with a whiskey-soaked chorus and biting honesty. “There’s a lot of reasons I ain’t Jesus,” he sings, “but the main one is that I ain’t comin’ back.”
The track previews I’m the Problem, Wallen’s upcoming 37-song album out May 16. With features from Post Malone, Tate McRae, HARDY, and more, the project promises emotional depth and genre-bending storytelling.
Wallen’s message? Flawed, faithful, and fearless—he’s not just singing about life; he’s living it.
