Morgan Wallen is bringing Sand in My Boots back to the Alabama coast in 2027, and the country superstar is assembling a lineup that reaches well beyond Nashville.
The three-day music festival will return to Gulf Shores from May 21 through May 23, with Wallen, rising country star Ella Langley and rock band Kings of Leon leading the entertainment schedule.
The announcement marks the festival’s comeback after a one-year absence in 2026, giving fans another opportunity to experience Wallen’s approach to combining different musical styles in a single beachfront event.
Country music remains at the center of the festival, with Gavin Adcock, Koe Wetzel, Cole Swindell, Hudson Westbrook, Vincent Mason and Midland among the scheduled performers. The lineup brings together established hitmakers and newer artists who are helping shape the genre’s current sound.
But Sand in My Boots is not limiting itself to cowboy boots and country guitars.
Rock fans can look forward to performances from Kings of Leon and Third Eye Blind, while hip-hop and pop audiences will find familiar names in Nelly and Flo Rida. Electronic music will also have a significant presence, with Norwegian DJ Kygo and Empire of the Sun joining the festivities.
The musical variety continues a concept Wallen introduced when Sand in My Boots debuted in 2025. Rather than building an event exclusively around country music, the singer created a festival designed to attract listeners with different musical tastes.
The upcoming edition also represents an important return for the event following its unexpected absence from the 2026 festival calendar.
According to previously reported comments from Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft, organizers submitted paperwork to renew the festival’s agreement too late to secure the caliber of performers needed for a successful event that year.
The scheduling setback ultimately resulted in the festival taking a year off, but the newly announced 2027 lineup signals that the event is moving forward once again.
Beyond the performances, Sand in My Boots has also maintained a connection to Wallen’s charitable activities.
The Morgan Wallen Foundation supports youth opportunities in music and sports. In 2025, the organization provided more than $200,000 worth of musical instruments to five schools across Alabama, extending the festival’s impact beyond the concert grounds.
For fans planning to attend the 2027 celebration, several ticket packages will be available, including upgraded experiences featuring premium viewing areas, swimming pools, exclusive merchandise, and food and beverage amenities.
Passes are scheduled to go on sale Friday, November 6, at 10 a.m. Central Time.
With three major headliners, a wide-ranging supporting lineup and a return to the Gulf Coast, Sand in My Boots is preparing for another weekend that brings country music together with some of the biggest sounds from other genres.
