Montgomery Gentry’s Troy Gentry Dies in Helicopter Crash

Tragedy has struck country music with news late Friday afternoon that Montgomery Gentry singer Troy Gentry has died in a helicopter accident at the Flying W. Airport in Medford NJ, hours before he was to perform live in concert at the airport.

Eddie Montgomery was not on board, but another yet to be identified person was also killed in the accident late Friday afternoon. Montgomery Gentry had great success with songs like “My Town,” “Something to Be Proud Of,” and “Daddy Won’t Sell The Farm.”

In other sad news to share, the man with the smoothest voice in country music (outside of Randy Travis of course) Don Williams has died at the age of 78 after a brief illness. Don was a Hall of Fame member and owner of some of the best music ever heard. He was the ‘Gentle Giant’ of country music, hitting the charts with “It Must Be Love,” “Tulsa Time,” and “I Believe in You.”
