Monday’s Music Headlines

It’s Monday and another week of ‘working for the man’ is here. Let’s kick off the week with some really cool music news headlines…

Deep Purple’s Ritchie Blackmore has been banned from the groups upcoming Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony by the band manager. No real skinny as to why.

Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl in a recent interview confessed that he once reached out to the late David Bowie with an idea to collaborate on a film song project, but David turned him down saying it wasn’t his cup of tea.

Eric Clapton will release a new album this May called “I Still Do.” Eric will join forces again with “Slowhand” producer Glyn Johns.

If you were a Metallica fan that came late to the party, you’re in luck as the band announced recently that they will reissue their first two albums “Kill Em All,” and “Ride the Lightening” in mid-April.

Birthdays this week include Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford, Paul Jones from Manfred Mann, Detroit’s very own Mitch Ryder, Journey’s Jonathan Cain, and Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones.
