Let’s start the week of with some music news headlines…

It’s been a tough January for our favorite stars and singers. Celine Dion lost her husband and manager René, as well as her brother Daniel, to cancer, Robert Stigwood the Bee Gees long time manager and business genius, Alan Rickman from Harry Potter has died, Grizzly Adams is gone, and rock legend, David Bowie, died just a few weeks ago.

Mick Jagger’s ex-wife, Jerri Hall, has announced her engagement to be married to Fox News media giant Rupert Murdoch. It must be real love, she’s 59 and he’s 84 – Oh and filthy rich.

The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards have been announced for 2016, and Earth Wind and Fire, Herbie Hancock, Linda Ronstadt, Jefferson Airplane and Run-D.M.C are the big winners.

Recent birthdays include Dolly Parton, America’s Dewey Bunnell, Paul Stanley from Kiss, Billy Ocean, Journey’s Steve Perry, Robin Zander (soon to be inducted into the Hall of Fame Cheap Trick), Anita Pointer of the Pointer Sisters, and Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers.
