The 2016 MLB All-Stars have been chosen and there are plenty of players to celebrate and congratulate. We love the choices and while there are a few snubs here and there, this will always happen. There are so many great talents in the MLB that it’s hard to fit all these players on to two rosters. Let’s take a look at who made the team and who might have a reason to gripe over not making it.
The starters for the American League team includes Salvador Perez, Eric Hosmer, Jose Altuve, Manny Machado, Zander Bogaerts, Mike Trout, Jackie Bradley Jr., and Mookie Betts.
The starters for the National League team includes Buster Posey, Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist, Kris Bryant, Addison Russell, Bryce Harper, Yoenis Cespedes, and Dexter Fowler.
Who are a few snubs that have reason to be upset? Well, Ian Kinsler would have been a great addition to the team in the middle infield. We find it hard that a .293 average with 16 home runs and 52 RBI isn’t worth of making the All-Star team. We’re also unsure of how Evan Longoria gets left off of the list. He’s only hitting .280 with 18 home runs and 45 RBI. We get that he plays in a small market, but those are some great numbers!
