Would you believe that for the very first time, the male-dominated business of the Miss America will be headed by a group of talented women? What makes this story even more interesting is that the women in charge are all past pageant winners, giving them the insight and ability to richly understand the process.
Former Miss Arkansas Regina Hopper is now the CEO of the Miss America Foundation, while Marjorie Vincent-Tripp, Miss America titleholder from 1991, will become the head of the foundation’s board of trustees. Former Fox News host and Gretchen Carlson, a woman who took the Fox News Network to task early in the #MeToo movement began the change a few years ago by being named to the board after her successful settlement with Fox.
