On on August 21st, the 13th annual ACM Honors will return to Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, where Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Brooks & Dunn and Martina McBride and more are slated for recognition.
Miranda Lambert will be honored with the ACM Gene Weed milestone award, which is presented to an artist for “outstanding achievement in the field of country music” over the past year. The event will also recognize special honorees and off-camera winners from the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards. The already-announced industry awards, studio recording awards winners and ACM songwriter of the year winner Shane McAnally will be in attendance.
A Star Is Born is slated to be recognized during the evening when it receives the Tex Ritter film award. Industry professional Gayle Holcomb, partner at WME and director at large on the ACM Board, will also receive the ACM Gary Haber lifting lives award for her commitment to serving others, while the ACM poet’s award will be given to Rodney Crowell, Kye Fleming and Billy Joe Shaver.
