The San Francisco Giants and Metallica have teamed up in the past to put together a fun “Metallica Night” for four years now and they’re planning on making it a fifth this baseball season. The two have decided to keep the tradition running and this special night will come Monday, August 7.
“Metallica Night” will be held at AT&T Park before the game against the Chicago Cubs. The festivities include Metallica singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” as well as throwing out the first pitch.
Last year’s “Metallica Night” happened on the 85th birthday of Giants great, Willie Mays. This made for a great opportunity for front man James Hetfield to sing happy birthday to him.
We’re looking forward to this event in San Francisco. Are you?
