Metallica Launch “Black Box” — A Physical and Digital Archive of the Band

Yesterday, Metallic unveiled the Black Box, a physical and digital archive of rare photos, keepsakes, and other memorabilia collected over 40 years of the band’s history.

“When you’ve been around for 40 years, you manage to collect a few things!” the band said in a statement. “Along the way, the four of us have hung on to many keepsakes, photographs, articles of clothing, sketches and so much more, stashing these items away in attics, garages and storage spaces. But no more, as we’re excited to launch the Metallica Black Box!”

The Black box will also include weekly livestream events, including a show-per-week from their 90s Black Album tour starting on November 20th, and behind-the-scenes footage in a “Riff ‘Em All” photo gallery documenting the band’s creation of the record.
