Mel Tillis Passing and Your AMA Winners List

We need to start the day with sad news, country music legend Mel Tillis has died at the age of 85, at the Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida. Over the span of his career, Mel hit the charts 77 times, earning enshrinement in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, plus the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Halls of Fame in his 60+ year career.

In other news, the 2017 AMA Awards were held last night in Los Angeles, and the night was filled with surprise and emotion. Kelly Clarkson and pop star P!nk kicked the night off with their rendition of “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M., and Diana Ross received a lifetime achievement award. Bruno Mars walked away with seven total wards, but here are the winners in the country music categories…
