The 2024 BET Awards are shaping up to be a night to remember. On Wednesday, June 26, it was announced that Megan Thee Stallion will join the roster of A-list performers set to take the stage this Sunday, June 30, in Los Angeles. Known as “culture’s biggest night,” the BET Awards promise to deliver an unforgettable evening of music and celebration.
Megan Thee Stallion’s performance will coincide with the release of her highly anticipated studio album, Megan, which drops this Friday, June 28. The album features collaborations with UGK, GloRilla, Victoria Monét, and more, including hit singles like “Cobra,” “Boa,” and the chart-topping “Hiss.”
Currently in the midst of her Hot Girl Summer Tour, Megan has extended the U.S. leg with additional dates in Atlanta and Charlotte, ensuring fans across the country get a chance to experience her dynamic performances. Tickets for these shows will be available through her website starting at noon.
The 2024 BET Awards will also feature a special performance by Will Smith, who recently topped the box office with Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Smith’s return to the BET stage highlights his journey from rapper to global icon, promising an exciting addition to the night’s lineup.
“From his start as a rapper to The Fresh Prince to being a box office king as one of the Bad Boys, Will Smith is truly a global icon, and we are honored to welcome him back to grace the BET Awards stage,” said Connie Orlando, EVP specials, music programming and music strategy at BET.
In addition to Megan and Smith, the lineup includes performances by GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Ms. Lauryn Hill with YG Marley, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tyla, and Victoria Monét.
The 2024 BET Awards will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET. The show will also stream on BET.com and various streaming services that offer the network, ensuring fans worldwide can join in on the celebration.
