According to hiphopdx.com, Meek Mill recently partnered with the WWE for a limited edition T-shirt, “Dreams and Nightmares” T-shirt that is based on his iconic song. The collaboration was announced on Saturday, October 8th before the wrestling franchise’s latest live event, Extreme Rules, that was held at Wells Fargo Center in Meek’s hometown of Philadelphia. Meek posted to twitter that, “I used to watch smack down every thurs at 10pmest before they flooded our hood with guns and stuff, I had to sign out of watching wrestling lol…I used to love stone cold lol now I’m doing collabs with WWE that’s dream catcher!!!” The graphic tee shirt is currently being sold for $27.99 at the WWE shop.
The collaboration comes after Meek paid tribute to a hometown hero: PnB Rock who was fatally shot while dining at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles in September. He told the crowd during a homecoming concert at Bowie state university, “Hold up, this is where I want to represent for my f-cking dawg, Rest in peace to f-cking PnB Rock, I don’t even want to talk about that sh-t.”
Meek Mill last released Expensive Pain back in 2021 and on the project’s one year anniversary he took a moment to talk about what a bad deal he had with Atlantic that caused him to earn very little off of the drop. Mill stated, “1 year Anniversary to the last album idk how money I made off it or had no control over the overall plan and I only made 13% off it lol I’ma make 10m + off every album I drop from here on out. I was caught up in that slave sh-t that’s why I been taking long …… that sh-t still on this album! everything I do flames! they don’t really promote music with morals in that system … now it’s my go now ima crack the code on getting paid for rapping! #Expensivepain.”
